Soul Garden's Biography

Originally formed in 2002 under the name of JPQ by Jason Williamson & Mark Anthony (Blak Prophetz). They re-branded under the name of the Soul Garden with the objective to deliver a wide range of heavy music from genres including Jazz, Funk & Soul, R&B including deep House & Garage.

In 2007 the Soul Garden teamed up with the Digital Jukebox and decided that it was time to begin the first real phase of the project which was to various vocalists to feature on their powerful productions.

Jason Williamson is a gifted keyboard player who is well renown for his skill as a Jazz musician. He began his career playing alongside the legendary Richard Taylor brother of Chris Taylor originally part owner of the famous Grosvenor Recording Studios (Hollick & Taylor Studios), home to globally successful artists and bands like Musical Youth, Steel Pulse, Cliff Richard & Jameilia. Jason Williamson has been playing the keyboard since he was 5 years of age and has superior versatility in genres including Jazz, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Soul and House.

Mark Anthony is a known professional drummer and record producer. His works are well known globally and has been involved in music productions and recordings with many well known A-list artists in the music industry, (see www.fattjointz.com ). Starting out as a drummer for his local rock band, he has also progressed and has developed a flexible diverse approach to musical engineering and production from Rock to Jazz, Hip Hop to Soul and even Trip Hop to Dance. He's not only a producer but also an incredible rap vocalist who's voice over skills has been used in various nationwide TV Commercials.

Kate Bird is an exceptional R&B/Soul vocalist from Folkestone in Kent in the South of England. She's a mature vocalist who recently joined the Soul Garden. Not only is she a gifted vocalist but has proven to be a dedicated and loyal member of the team. These simple attributes makes working on projects seamless for the band. For many years she had worked with and supported gospel singers but when she met with the Soul Garden she realised that this was an opportunity to be a part of group that could deliver the sound she had always dreamed of performing on. Kate's potential is limitless with the soul providers.. a.k.a The Soul Garden.
